Throwback : Newport

Hi guys! How are you doing? I hope you are all doing well! For today’s post, I thought I would do another “Throwback” post. This time, I wanted to talk to you about the few days I spent in Newport, Rhode Island.

Back in august 2015, I went away on a four day short trip. We decided to go by car, as it wasn’t so far away from where I live. The weather was amazing, it was sunny and warm. We left around 7 AM, because we did have more than 6h of travelling by car. Around 12, we stopped at a random place to eat lunch and walk around a little bit. We looked around a few little shops, and then we went back to the car to complete our journey. The first thing we did when we arrived, was check-in at our hotel. I just want to say that there was a picture of a dog on the key to my room and it was really cute! Anyways, afterwards, we went into town and explored a little bit. It was really beautiful. I really enjoy being by the water. We went out for dinner, went to the beach and saw a beautiful sunset. We then headed back to the hotel.

The next day, we went to the Sachuest Point National Wildlife Refugee. It was really nice to walk through there were different kinds of plants and flowers. There was also a waterfront that was, though quite rocky, absolutely beautiful. To make it even better, the sky was blue, the sun was out and it was really warm. It was a perfect summer’s day! After our visit, we decided to go to the beach to cool off a little bit.

During our stay, we also went out on a little boat ride on the sea. It was really nice to be on the sea alongside all the other boats, with the wind in my hair and all. I actually felt quite small roaming around on this giant body of water. Anyhow, we also took some time to visit the little shops by the water, some of them had really cute things! And, on the last day, we went to the Providence Zoo, before coming back home. It was a short, but very nice trip. It just goes to prove that sometimes, you don’t need to travel too far to go on a little adventure and see nice things!

Well, this is it for today’s post. I really hope you enjoyed it as much as I enjoy sharing these precious moments with you. Don’t forget to leave a comment if you have any feedback and you can also share this if you enjoyed it. You can also find me on Twitter and on Instagram. Thank you so much for reading, and I will see you soon with another post!

Lots of love,

Liee xx
